The K1 is produced and marketed by K1 Sailing, an experienced team comprising the designer Paul Handley, builder Synthesize Yachts and the sales team at Vandercraft.
Paul Handley has designed successful keelboats and dinghies including the K6 and Mustang 30 keelboats, the very popular RS Feva and Tera dinghies, both ISAF International Classes and the exciting new RS100. With the K1 he has combined the sailing qualities of a small keelboat with the versatility of a dinghy to create a package which will appeal to keelboat and dinghy sailors alike, whether sailing just for fun or expert racers.
Synthesize Yachts are managed by Jamie Stewart and have a successful track record of producing small keel boats including the Artemis 20 and production dinghies including the RS 500 and RS 800. They are based near Southampton, UK, and will manufacture the K1 using the latest resin infusion techniques to ensure low weight and high quality and consistency.
Vandercraft is based in Honiton, Devon, managed by Jeff VanderBorght and will handle sales throughout the UK and Ireland and international sales except where other international dealers are appointed. Vandercraft currently sell Phantom and V3000 dinghies as well as trailers and Jeff has developed a reputation for a top quality personal service that will be offered to all K1 owners too
